BBA Human Resource Management is a 3-year undergraduate course which is offered by many colleges throughout India. The course provides students the knowledge of principles which are required while handling the human resources of a company or any institution. HR management is responsible for providing adequate resources to the company to obtain its objectives.
Since BBA is an undergraduate course, therefore the only eligibility criterion for pursuing it is that the student should have cleared 10+2 examinations from a recognized board. Many universities give admissions to this course on the merit-basis but some institutes conduct entrance examinations also. The minimum criterion is generally kept at 50% marks, but some institutes give admission at 45% marks also.
Human resource management aims at establishing and managing the human resources in an organization to increase the performance and productivity of the company. It focuses on providing job analysis, training and development, performance and legal issues in a company thus acting as a vital body of an organization. Managing human resources involves handling job design and analysis, workforce planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation (remuneration), and legal issues.
All of these areas require a professional to be clear in their thoughts and should have the ability to understand the business values of the company to deliver the required task. Many of the world’s top businessmen have stated that the role nearest to that of the owner of the company, down the hierarchy is that of a human resource manager.
