Bachelor Of Arts & Bachelor Of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws) is a professional integrated law course which is suitable for students who want to become a lawyer, an advocate, a legal advisor, or want to make a career in law and judiciary.

Students should meet the minimum criteria set by different colleges, which is as follows:

  • You should have scored atleast 45% in Class XII from a recognized board. For reserved category, the minimum marks is 40% in Class XII.
  • You should be more than 17 years of age.

The Bar Council of India closely regulates the law degrees in India, and it has approved this course in full-time mode only because it’s curriculum includes practical training, apart from theory classes.

After graduation, there is a huge demand for graduates in the legal field. They can be employed in various state and central government agencies or they can work for a private law firm. They can also practice as a lawyer independently. Average earnings of BA LLB fresh graduates ranges from INR 3 to 6 LPA. But it may be higher depending upon your placement, internships and your performance. 

After completion of BA LLB course, you can go for further qualification in the law field. Master of Legislative Law (LLM) offered by University of MumbaiUniversity of DelhiNLSIU Bangalore and NALSAR Hyderabad can be pursued by law graduates who wish to study further. There is an option of M. Phil in Law. There are many relevant professional certificate and diploma courses as well like Diploma in Cyber Law, Diploma in Labour Laws, PG Diploma in Corporate Laws, etc.
