Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital is located at Ambegaon, Narhe, Pune. It is founded by President Prof. M. N. Navale and named after the mother of Prof. M. N. Navale. In a very little course of time, this institution has achieved its reputation for academic performance & patient services, not only in Pune but all over Maharashtra. Hospital was started in 2006 with just 300 beds & expanded to 1094 bedded hospital currently with 840 teaching beds, 80 ICU beds,40 Casualty beds, 20 beds for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery,64 Day Care beds, 2 Pain Clinic and 48 Recovery beds in O.T. The medical college is started with intake of 100 students for MBBS course in September 2007. The intake capacity now has been increased to 150 students. Our MBBS degree is recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India –New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. We also conduct Post Graduate courses in the Subjects of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Anesthesia, Radiology, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, General Medicine and Pediatrics. The hospital is spread over four buildings. The OPD blocks situated on the ground floor and respective wards are located from the first floor and above. We are providing all the facilities of the hospital in addition to two square meals to indoor. Every year there has been steady increase in the no. of patients availing the OPD and IPD facility. In the year 2016 we have examined 570592 patients in OPD and 38806 Patients were hospitalized with average daily bed occupancy of 84%. With increasing patient number, all the departments have updated with infrastructure to give better care to sick and needy.
College provides MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. nursing and BASLP courses for which admission is conducted through MHT-CET. Admission to these courses is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research. Candidates are required to fill application form online on www.dmer.org or www.mhtcet2017.co.in from 01 to 22 March. Once candidates will fill the application form they will be provided with a unique username and password which will be helpful for future use. Application fee can be submitted through a bank challan in any branch of State bank of India. After filling the fee for application form candidates will find a confirmation page which is to be saved for later uses. Admit card for the test is to be obtained from official website of MHT.CET in between 25th to 30th April. An entrance test will be conducted on May 5, 2018 (tentative) for admission to different health science courses.
